Cakes - Alfa Romeo

Alfa Romeo Cake

I have never seen a bigger fan of Alfa Romeo than this birthday boy! He would talk non stop about his old Alfa, visit show rooms after show rooms, taking test drives after test drives..he would tell you how much he misses his old romeo. He would sell the entire car but keep all its alfa romeo logos.
Thus, I think this cake is really for him.

Cake - Birthday (Flowers and Butterflies)

For Reeta's 5th birthday party, her mom Pam wanted a colourful cake filled with bold colours, flowers and butterflies. The flavour of this cake is rather different this time. Instead of the usual chocolate or butter cake, this is something Eurasian. Its Sugee cake!! Pam loves Sugee cake and asked if I could make one. And so here it is.. a picture of the sugee cake before the decorations took place:

Reeta was born in the year of the Rat...and so to compliment the design of the cake, I made a cute mouse in a pumpkin as a cake topper.

And here is the completed decorated birthday cake for the beautiful 5 year old Reeta

Here's a picture of Reeta at her birthday party with all her friends:

Happy Birthday Reeta!!

Cake - Birthday Mahjong

Cake - Mahjong Birthday Cake

Doing mahjong tiles caake is indeed a great challenge, especially when I am unable to read or write chinese characters. Nonetheless, I still have to come up with these. The 'Cai' word is one of the toughest though.

Cake - 21st Birthday

Cake - 21st Birthday

Lina approached me and wanted me to do a really nice birthday cake for her beloved sister, Lian Shi. It was tough as she has no theme, no favourite colour and just wanted a KEY. She wanted a combination of a cake and cupcakes....which makes things even more challenging. Creating a design for this took awhile and I finally came up with this.
I figured that most people would love yummy ice cream sundae and since Lian Shi's actual birthdate was 14 Feb (Valentine's day), I throw in some hearts. It so happen that her outifit that night matches the purple hearts!

And PK did a video on this! Thanks PK for giving me the permission to put the video on my blog.
